The final edition of Section 1502 of the “Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act” was passed by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on August 22, 2012. This section is in regard to Conflict Minerals, such as Tin (Sn), Tantalum (Ta), Tungsten (W), Gold (Au) and Cobalt (Co).

To fulfill our corporate social responsibility, SCANO addresses statement to avoid use of conflict minerals as above-mentioned from Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and its neighboring countries controlled by non-governmental army groups.

SCANO’s Statement:
1. SCANO and its suppliers shall take social responsibility and practice international justice.
2. No support and no use of Conflict Minerals from Conflict Regions where metals are mined illegally.
3. Suppliers shall retrace the sources of raw materials with diligence to ensure metals contained in production are not from mines in conflict regions.

SCANO is committed to social responsibility and abide by the principles of ethics and integrity. We prohibit any form of anti-human rights behavior such as slavery, human trafficking, forced labor as well as child labor. This policy is applied to our businesses and partners in supply chain, to ensure all employees are treated fairly and decently in workplace.
